Lindsey was quick to duck his head with the excuse of eating something. He chewed softly at a piece of meat, not sure how to take all of this. Over the last few days, his thoughts had been all over the place, distracted, unsure, bouncing between schemes to genuine appreciation. He didn't know what he thought anymore, and perhaps with Gabriel's constant repetition, he was beginning to think that he could get away with some happiness like this.
