Dealing with an archangel was going to be very tricky business, it seemed, if Gabriel kept reading his thoughts. Lindsey started a frown, but stopping himself before it could be fully noticeable, he stuffed his mouth with a bite of pizza instead.
"Human lives must be like a blink of an eye compared to those others who interest you," Lindsey said neutrally after he swallowed his pizza. To be perfectly truthful, he still couldn't figure out why Gabriel found him interesting at all. He wasn't an immortal, he wasn't even an experienced lover, and even he knew he had more flaws than anything that pleased.
Not liking the direction those thoughts were going down, Lindsey forcefully moved himself from them. Time to change Gabriel's line of thought too.
"A third of the movie's over and I don't even know the title of what we're watching."
