Lindsey had first come here expecting to entertain an archangel, but despite himself, he was actually enjoying this short break. It was nothing he ever experienced before and being able to do nearly whatever he wanted, without fear of Wolfram and Hart or how it would cause ripples back to his work, it was truly amazing.

All he had to worry about was Gabriel and the angel was very accommodating so far.

That didn't mean Lindsey would do whatever he wanted. By the fourth day, he was sitting relaxed on the large couch and perusing the case files he brought from home. He was eventually going back to work, and even if Gabriel had promised that he could send him back without having lost any time, Lindsey still preferred to be caught up.

So for that whole morning, he leisurely read.
