It had been a few days since he'd brought Lindsey to his home. He'd been giving the man a little time to adjust. Yeah, he'd taken most of his memories and locked them away so deep that no one would be able to find them, but deep down he'd left Lindsey with the sense that Gabriel wasn't done with him. That it hadn't just been a one night stand.

Gabriel hummed softly as he looked at the tv, smirking a bit when he saw Lindsey walking out of Wolfram & Hart. He was moving around his apartment, setting things up for what he hoped Lindsey would enjoy. A date of sorts, he thought to himself as he looked at the dinner he'd whipped up that would stay hot until they were ready to eat.

He was tempted to just snap and bring Lindsey there at that moment, but he decided to wait, to see for himself if the man would call for him or not. So far he hadn't, but he'd been occupied by work and probably worry over the fact that he was missing memories of their night together. Gabriel shrugged, summoning a glass of wine before sitting down and waiting.

Lindsey tuned out the world as he sang, listening only to the way his fingers stroked the guitar strings. Sometimes his eyes closed, a for a few sung lines they were opened but pained. Perhaps this wasn't the best song for him to sing for a happy moment... It pretty much talked about apocalypse and Darla.

"... I can't feel a thing," he sang, then echoed quietly as he finished, "I can't feel."

He could feel the pain as Lindsay sang and as the last few chords ended he reached over, touching his arm gently. "Lindsey, that...that was amazing. You sound amazing." He squeezed his arm before pulling away and leaning back against the arm of the couch.

"Did you write that? I've never heard it before."

"Yeah," Lindsey whispered softly, temporarily still lost in the contents of his song.

Cearing his throat, he looked up at Gabriel. "Yeah," he repeated. "Write it a while back, never had chance to sing it."

He made the bowl of candy disappear, shifting slowly and moving closer. His arms wrapped around Lindsey and he pressed his lips against his shoulder gently. "It was a very good song." He whispered before turning Lindsey's head and brushing their lips together.

"Something about it made you sad though. I'm sorry. I...are you ok?"

Blinking, Lindsey looked startled by the light touches and made himself smile back. "No, it's just... When I wrote it... Either way, nevermind." He smiled wider. "So you like it?"

"Of course I do. You have an amazing voice, course I really shouldn't be surprised." He tilted his head. "I should get you to sing for me more often." He nudged him playfully, winking. "I'm glad you're happy that you can play again."

He shifted, scooting back a bit again to lean against the arm of the couch once again. He sighed softly, watching him for a long moment. "So how long have you been playing for?"

Genuinely pleased by Gabriel's praises, Lindsey's smile became more proud. "Since elementary school," he admitted. "It was a way to get away, you know. And with so many siblings..." He smiled softly. "They usually left me alone whenever I made a lot of noise."

Along with many other small everyday things, Angel taking his hand had taken his ability to play and his onlyrelief from stress.

"Well, you really are very good. I never really...well, I never do very good with instruments unless you count my horn. I don't think I have the patience to learn." He chuckled softly, pulling one leg up to his chest and resting his chin there.

Lindsey smiled a bit more as he started plucking the strings again, just random notes that formed into old forgotten tunes that he once heard. "It's nice, I guess. A good way to escape." He stopped to look up at Gabriel with a tender smile. "You want me to play anything?"

He smiled, thinking about it for a moment before tilting his head. "Do you happen to know a song called Crazy Love? Its by a guy named Jason Manns. I think you would sound good singing that."

He shifted, snapping his fingers to pull up sheet music for the song just in case Lindsey didn't know it.

"That's good enough," Lindsey said as he perused the sheet music a bit. He played the first line experimentally, then feeling a bit more confident, stopped and played it from the start.

The first time was a simple play through, just music. Then he looked to Gabriel and arched a brow. "Don't know the song... but I can learn it if I got lyrics to go with the music."

He snapped up a copy of the lyrics as well, holding them up for him. "I heard the song a year or so ago and ended up loving it. I think you would sound great." He bit his lip before leaning over and pressing his lip against Lindseys.

"I can try," Lindsey murmured and took the time to give Gabriel a good kiss back. He smiled, genuinely pleased by this. It made him look almost boyish as he hummed a few bars to himself and tried to figure out how the song went.

"Yeah, I think I've got this." He played the song again and launched into his rendition of it, sounding completely different from Jason but doing a good job at presenting it anyway. He hoped so.

Well, Gabriel definitely enjoyed his version. It might not be the exact same, but Lindsey still sounded good. He leaned back again, just enthralled as he listened.

He was, again, impressed. He tilted his head, smiling warmly before nodding.

Bit by bit, Lindsey relaxed. He played another song after that one, just songs that he knew or were familiar with. For a while he just played too, not singing anything but just enjoying how his fingers flew over the strings.

And Lindsey, despite himself, really did start to relax into this 'vacation'.

Gabriel couldn't stop listening. He didn't move off the couch, didn't hardly stop watching Lindsey the whole time. Something changed in the man when he played. Gabriel honestly felt like Lindsey seemed more alive like this.

If Lindsey seemed more alive while he made music, then it was the part of him that Gabriel had revived by giving him back his hand. The lawyer hadn't felt this relaxed since over a year ago and he was able to now thanks to the archangel.

Lindsey's smiles came more freely by the end of the evening when he put down his guitar. "I think that's enough playing for one night." He flexed his new hand again and couldn't help but smile down at it, then up at Gabriel. "If you want more, you'll have to wait for another night."

When Lindsey put the guitar down, Gabriel immediately climbed into Lindsey's lap, kissing him softly. His arms went around his neck, pressing close.

"Thank you. That was...amazing."

Lindsey couldn't help but think of an overly large cat who suddenly scrambled into the vacated space of a coveted spot. He actually laughed when released from the kiss.

"All I did was play a few songs," he said, his grin having taken on a fondness for the angel. "But you're not going to hear me complaining."

He caught the thought and lightly swatted his shoulder. "I am not a cat." He laughed though, leaning in close. He couldn't help it. Seeing Lindsey so relaxed and at ease had made him so happy.

"You were happy though. It made you happy to be able to play and thats what made it so amazing. Such a...great thing to see." He kissed him again, soft and deep.

Gabriel's words took Lindsey by surprise and he blinked, his smile suddenly freezing on his face. He went into the kiss distracted, the mindless enjoyment over with and he began to think.

Sure, he liked playing and it was a good way to forget his troubles, but he had a better way now, didn't he. If he played his cards right, he could eliminate his troubles altogether.

Smiling again, he moved to kiss Gabriel again and this time passionately and with intent. "You know what can make me happier?"

He didn't even notice the change as he groaned into the kiss, sliding fingers up into Lindsey's hair slowly. He pulled back slowly, licking his lips and looking slightly dazed from the kiss.

"What would make you happier?" He asked softly, leaning his forehead against Lindsey's before smiling softly.

Lindsey's arms came around to rest on Gabriel's slender hips and he smiled back up at the archangel, managing to change his smirk at the last moment to something softer and more boyish.

"It would make me happier," he started, his hands beginning to caress up Gabriel's sides, "if you did some of those things that you only thought about earlier." It wouldn't, not really, but it would be the first step towards controlling the archangel to get him to do what would make Lindsey happiest.

He smiled back, laughing softly before kissing him. "Oh, really? Well then maybe I should take you to the bedroom..." He kissed down his jaw. "Unless you want to do a few of the ones involved in me being bent over...a few places.."

He licked down his throat softly before latching on and sucking gently. After a few moments of this he slowly got up, holding his hands out to him. "Your choice..."

Lindsey moaned, head tilting as Gabriel kissed his way down and arching his head back when the angel latched to his throat. He moaned softly when Gabriel finally released him, and offered the choice, he was quick to grasp the angel's hands.

"The bedroom sounds great," he supplied. If he wanted Gabriel to do as he requested, it was probably better to not start off headstrong against the angel. And bottoming for him really didn't feel that bad. At least he was a considerate lover.

"Thought I'll learn a few tricks from the master before I start bending you over hapless furniture."
